EINDHOVEN – A TU/e team will participate in the World Solar Challenge in Australia next year.

Eindhoven students are building a car to compete in the world famous race for cars powered by solar energy. The cars are judged on energy consumption, weight and speed. The World Solar Challenge takes place every two years in Australia, from Darwin to Adelaide. The trail is over 3000 kilometers, right through the desert. In recent years, teams of the TU Delft and TU Twente already participated in Australia. The upcoming World Solar Challenge will be held in October next year.
