Arrested for home delivery of illegal fireworks

HELMOND – A man from Helmond was arrested Tuesday morning around 06:30 after trying to obtain illegal fireworks in a very obvious manner. He purchased 6kg of fireworks from a company in the Czech Republic.

The package was to be delivered to his home. It entered The Netherlands via a parcel service in Utrecht. Employees found the package suspicious and decided to open it, finding the fireworks. The police were called and they arranged for the fireworks to be destroyed. The police found the 23 year old man from Helmond very quickly.
