Fender bender causes chaos in Helmond

HELMOND – A fender bender took place Tuesday afternoon around 16.30 hrs. at the intersection of the ‘Kanaaldijk’ with the ‘Heeklaan’ in Helmond creating an enormous traffic chaos. According to the police the man caused several accidents and said that there were explosives in his vehicle. There were no injuries.

After the man first hit 3 cars he rammed into a stoplight then he drove into a fence. He left the scene on foot but was arrested later by the police.The man resisted heavily during his arrest and said something about a bomb. The police called in the assistance from their own team of Explosive and Safety, but it turned out to be a false alarm.Source: Omroep Brabant
