Because of the anti-coronavirus measures, many elderly people are forced to sit at home, socially isolated. This is why the Neffe de Kerk senior society in Waalre came up with the ‘Telephone buddy’ project.

The project was started the association’s elderly members can no longer come together. Volunteers and elderly people call each other twice a week to chat. Neffe de Kerk normally organises daily activities for seniors with physical or mental complaints.

The activities include painting, crafts and exercise. The organisation wants to relieve caregivers through activities.
