A67 closed after major accident

Yesterday, the A67 between Eindhoven and Venlo was temporarily closed due to an accident between a car and a truck.

The truck tipped over and landed on the car. One of the occupants of the vehicle was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital. The two drivers were also taken to the hospital for a check-up.

Long traffic jams ensued due to this accident. Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management, Rijkswaterstaat, advised motorists to take a detour. It took several hours before the road was clear again.

The police fined many car drivers because they were taking videos and photos of the accident.
