The VVD’s (People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy) youth division is called the JOVD or Youth Organisation for Freedom and Democracy. They want a third train station in Eindhoven, near Acht.

They are calling on the City Council to reconsider this. According to the JOVD, it is going so well with the city that an extra train station is needed to maintain its ‘leading position’.

Better infrastructure

The political party thinks the city’s infrastructure needs to be improved. “A possible solution is to build a new train station between Strijp-S and Best. This will ensure that the more than 100,000 inhabitants of Woensel and Acht can travel more quickly to other cities. Also, it is an entry and exit point for travellers from Eindhoven Airport”, they write in the press release.

There has still been no mention of the addition of an extra train station.
