The waste disposal company, Cure, will deploy additional teams in the coming weeks to clean up the many rubbish piles in Eindhoven.

This is the City Council’s response to questions from coalition party, PvdA (Labour Party).

In many Eindhoven neighbourhoods, residents have to deal with rubbish dumped around the underground waste containers. There are not only garbage bags but also mattresses, wood, and even sofas. Their call for a stricter approach is, therefore, getting even louder. This mess is why Cure is sending out the extra teams. The Municipality also wants to do better checks to fine offenders.

According to the City Council, Cure spends 60 hours every week cleaning up all the mess at the containers. This includes weekends. There is often a lot of rubbish in, among other areas, Kruisstraat, Vaartbroek, and De Bergen.
