Bomb found during excavation work

Excavation workers found an explosive device on Wednesday morning at the Ekkersrijt industrial area in Son.

During earthworks, the excavator hit the grenade. As a result, something started to burn. The workers, therefore, called the fire brigade.

The Military Explosive Disposal Service is present at the site and is deciding what should happen next with the grenade. It is possibly a phosphorus grenade from the Second World War.
