The preparations for the construction of the new 100m-high residential tower on Kennedylaan are starting this month.
The so-called ‘bunker tower’ will be built where the massive TU/e student housing unit used to be located. This building will be partially demolished, after which construction begins. So, the tower with more than 210 apartments will be built on top of the former student association’s offices.
There will be both rental and owner-occupied homes. The sizes of the units range from 55 to 310m2. Downstairs, in the old ‘bunker’, there will be a restaurant. There will also be an underground parking garage.
Last Friday, RED Company, Being Development, Van Wijnen, and SPF Beheer signed the papers for the job. The project should be completed in early 2021.
