ASML staff to lay down tools again

ASML employees, the chip machine manufacturer located in Veldhoven, will suspend their work on Friday for a better collective labour agreement (CAO). This is what the FNV trade union reports.

In total, the employees will be suspending their work for 24 hours. It is not clear how many ASML employees want to participate in the campaign. Last month they also campaigned, together with staff from VDL and DAF.

Metal industry staff have been fighting for better terms and conditions for quite some time now. The trade unions want an annual wage increase of 3.5% and good plans to combine work and private life.
