Changes at Residents’ Plaza from next year

The Eindhoven City Council want to help residents as quickly and efficiently as possible. In order to do so, as of 1 January 2019, the Inwonersplein (Residents’ Plaza) will be working solely on appointment.

The idea is that residents will have to wait no longer than five minutes to be helped. According to the Municipality, working on appointments is more efficient. “Staffing can be better planned if the number of visitors, and their questions, is known”, reads a press release.

Passports, drivers licences, and ID cards that have already been processed can still be picked up without an appointment.

24/7 online

The Inwonersplein‘s online services are accessible 24 hours a day, every day. Many things can be arranged, entirely digitally, on their website.

The Inwonersplein‘s opening times are also set to change. From 1 January 2019, it will be open on Mondays, from 09:00 to 19:00. From Tuesday to Friday, business hours are from 09:00 to 16:30.

If people do have to visit the Inwonersplein, they can make an appointment on the website, or phone 14040.
