GroenLinks: Air quality Eindhoven not sufficient

Air quality in Eindhoven is below par, this according GroenLinks (green left party). Electric vehicles, more charging stations for cars and scooters no longer allowed on the bike paths, should bring change.

Better air quality means living longer, says expert Leendert van Bree of Utrecht University. And according to him, you can do a lot at local level. GroenLinks wants, alongside more opportunities for electric vehicles, also that diesel cars made before 2001, are no longer allowed in the city centre.

According to VVD (right wing party), the plans of the Greens are unnecessary and redundant. The opposition party thinks that motorists are getting bullied a little. Next week it will be clear whether the plans of GroenLinks will get enough support.
