TU/e receives national prize smart transport solutions

The TU/e has won the national prize, Het Gouden RAI Wiel. The Eindhoven University received the prize for research and development on smart mobility solutions.

Het Gouden Wiel (Golden Wheel) is an annual mobility prize to award persons and organizations for their special contribution in the field of traffic and transportation.
At the TU/e, there are student teams, start-ups and two hundred researchers all working at finding solutions to make traffic and transportation cleaner, safer and more reliable.

According to the organiser RAI, this way young talents in Eindhoven are given the opportunity to think of smart solutions, which will in turn into beautiful innovation, according to the panel of judges.

Smart and sustainable mobility is one of the most important research themes of the Eindhoven University. Researchers amongst other topics are developing smart traffic systems and self-driving cars.
