The Obstetrics department of the Catharina Hospital will get a complete metamorphosis. The Eindhoven hospital is building a new department with fifteen luxury nursery suites.
Mother and child should recover faster from delivery in these suites. The maternity suites come with all mod cons: flat screen TVs, ambient lighting, refrigerator, bath, espresso machine and internet. The father can also sleep in the suite.
According to the Catharina Hospital these adjustments assist a good recovery. At the same time-, the hospital emphasizes, personal guidance of doctors and midwives, and tailored pain relief are important.
In February the first nine maternity suites will be constructed. In May next year, all fifteen suites will be ready.
