Uber not coming to Eindhoven

Good news for Eindhoven’s taxi drivers and the KNV: the city council will not partner with taxi service Uber.

Alderman Jannie Visscher announced the launch of the taxi app during a meeting of the Eindhovense Kwaliteitskring Taxi (taxi quality control group) on Monday. This was met with outrage from taxi business owners.

Local taxi drivers and the KNV taxi branch voiced doubts over whether the app would benefit businesses and customers, citing Uber’s lack of focus on quality.
