Neighbourhood watch Strijp S: incidents halved

The Strijp-S neighbourhood watch team has reduced criminal activity in the district by 50%. The team called it an “encouraging result”.

Motor vehicle theft has seen a 92% drop, while burglaries and theft affecting businesses fell by 82%.

Björn Cocu and Mark van Glabbeek launched the neighbourhood watch team nearly a year ago, which now has about thirty volunteer members.

The team works with local police, the municipality of Eindhoven, and Strijp Park Beheer (management) to keep the local community safe.
