Taxi companies jointly responsible for quality service

Eindhoven taxi companies will be jointly responsible for providing a quality transport service starting next year, in accordance with the municipality’s new taxi policy.

Taxi operators will be required to join a TTO (Toegelaten Taxi Organisatie/Licensed Taxi Organisation). Each TTO must have a minimum of fifteen taxi companies, requiring them to work together.

The sector will also be responsible for monitoring rule compliance, awarding quality certifications to companies following the rules.

Taxi drivers, who are required to have a diploma and sufficient knowledge of the area, will also be expected to adhere to professional conduct standards.
