‘De Splinter’ celebrates 40th anniversary

‘Speelpark’ (play park) De Splinter is 40 years old. The children’s park at the Rode Kruislaan celebrates this occasion with lots of festivities on 19 July. For example, a new massive wooden play tower will be opened then.

The year 2015 is dedicated to the 40th anniversary entirely, but next Sunday De Splinter will celebrate this officially. On that day the park is open from 12:00 to 18:00 and children have free access. Visitors can have fun on the bouncy castle, obstacle course and water slide, that will be put up especially for the occasion, and several other activities.

De Splinter started as a small playground 40 years ago and has become a well-known place in the north of Eindhoven over the years. The park is mainly run by volunteers.
