A man died last night after falling in a canal in Gerwen, between Nuenen and Son en Breugel.
This happened last night, at 18:40hrs. The victim was administered resuscitation, but unfortunately could not be recovered.
It is not clear what happened exactly. Police authorities conducted an all-night investigation and will continue today as to what happened.
An autopsy of the victim will be examined to discover the cause of death.
