The police is searching for people who witnessed the violent purse-snatching that took place in Woensel Zuid Saturday morning. A 79-year-old woman got injured in the attack.
The woman was walking down the Van Kinsbergenstraat that morning around 9.15 Hrs, when a man approached her. He claimed her bag, but she refused and tried to kick the attacker.
The man then grabbed the purse and knocked the woman to the ground. She grazed her knee and broke her nose. The thief took off towards Woenselse Markt.
The woman was taken to hospital. The police are searching for witnesses of the attack.
