TU/e soccer robots win Portuguese Open

TU/e’s robot soccer team won the tournament by beating the Portuguese Cambada 2-1 in the finals.

Because of battery problems during the final minutes, the robots stopped playing one after the other, but the Portuguese did not manage to turn it to their advantage.

The Portuguese Open are the European Championships for mid-size soccer robots. Turtle is the name of the soccer robot and stands for Tech United RoboCup Team Limited Edition. This tournament was preparing the team for the upcoming World Championships that will be held in Brazil this summer.
