Migrant workers make too little use of their voting rights

Nearly 7,000 migrant workers live in Eindhoven and they can also vote in the municipal elections next week.

According to the ‘Migranten Informatie Punt’ (Migration Information Point), not many migrants make use of their right to vote. Therefore, the MIP are organizing an informative meeting for migrant workers today.

Several political parties are taking part. Each of them can briefly explain their viewpoints. After this, the migrant workers will have the opportunity to indicate which issues are of interest to them.

For more information you can mail the MIP (sonja@srada.nl) or call 040-2434496.
