Christiaan Huygens School welcomes senior citizens

Students of the Christiaan Huygens School received a visit from the residents of the Wissehaege hospice yesterday.

The students are familiar with their senior visitors. Apparently, every week, 16 students join their "Care" teacher on a "field trip" to the Wissehaege hospice. Yesterday, however, they swopped the location of their interaction.

The change of location was done in order to enable the senior citizens to get out of the hospice. The students had planned a complete programme for their visitors. First, they all ate together and then they played bingo.

The school staff and the hospice staff hope that by having this interaction, the senior citizens and the youngsters will get to know each other better.
