The 22-year-old Eindhovener who killed a 76-year-old man in Eindhoven last year, remains in custody. This was decided by the prosecution. They are accusing the driver of manslaughter.
According to the prosecutor the Eindhovener was driving his car at 129 kilometres per hour at the Franklin Rooseveltlaan. That street allows only 50 kilometres per hour. The victim was hit at the pedestrian crossing. He died instantly.
The suspect will appear in court on 16 May.
