The VDL Group is satisfied. In the first half-year they achieved a larger turnover.
Compared to the same period last year VDL (semi-finished/ finished buses and coaches) has seen an increase in sales by 10% to 937 million euros. Profit fell slightly compared with the same period last year. The number of orders has increased. This is mainly accomplished by attracting the supply components to the semiconductor and automotive industry in the second quarter. The order book of this division is still filling up. It is therefore expected that the figures will improve in the second half of the year.Because of the increase in the number of orders, the number of employees rose by nearly 100.Studio040
