Eindhoven wants to better market and sell itself. The city is therefore introducing a new logo.
The new logo was presented by the city’s marketing organisation Eindhoven 365 and the municipality Tuesday morning. In the city’s new marketing strategy, various Eindhoven features are gathered in a symbol including three bolts, that stand for the energy as a driving force of this happening city.The new logo replaces the diamond that has represented the city for 15 years as a symbol of the one-time desired merge with neighbouring villages. The “Leading in technology” slogan also disappears.The new logo is special because it will be used for marketing purposes, such as events and the recruitment of knowledge workers abroad, but it will also be used as the city’s figurative mark. Other (non-commercial) parties are encouraged to use the logo in various shapes and colours, so that it becomes even more dynamic.The logo will be introduced gradually in order to cut costs.
