New jobs at HTC

The Indian company Cognizant is going to expand its office at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. About 100 new jobs will be created, on top of the 150 existing ones.

Those positions will mainly be filled by local young talents. Cognizant thus conforms to initiatives intended to promote technical studies amongst children. Mayor Van Gijzel visited Cognizant’s headquarters in New York last week. He was already in NYC to attend the Intelligent Community of the Year Award ceremony and used the opportunity to visit companies that have offices in Eindhoven, such as Shapeways, a 3D-printing company, or that are going to open an office here, such as Fab.com, an online design store.  HTC might even get bigger in the future thanks to new Canadian companies. After Van Gijzel’s visit to NYC, he travelled to Waterloo, Canada, where he signed an agreement that should lead to strong cooperation between the two high tech communities.
