The Eindhoven Student house Zjem & Confiture, along with two other student houses from Tilburg and Groningen, is nominated for the Netherlands Student house of the Year title 2013.
Zjem & Confiture stands for ‘gezelligheid’, house parties and student life in Eindhoven. Fifteen students live in the house, most of them study at the TU/e.According to residents, it is a real student house: dirty and cosy. Although the 15 rooms take up a lot of space there is still enough room for a large courtyard and a 3.5-meter-long table for joint dinners.Furthermore, there are a shared living room, two kitchens and nowadays a roof terrace where vegetables are grown.The winner will be announced next month and will receive a nice door poster and 24 bottles of rum.
