The dead man who was removed from the Beatrix Channel last Sunday is indeed Tim van de Ven, who was a missing person from Wintelre.
Earlier it was already assumed that he was the occupant of the car. Van de Ven had been missing since Sunday, when he disappeared in an unstable condition.
The family has confirmed his identity according to police, reported by ‘Omroep Brabant’.
The car fell into the channel near the ‘Spottersweg’ on Sunday evening. The fire department removed the car from the channel about half an hour later. Van de Ven was already deceased.
