Queen’s Day Eindhoven

On Monday, 29 and Tuesday, 30 April 2013, Eindhoven celebrates the Queen’s birthday for the last time. During this celebration prince Willem Alexander will become king of the Netherlands. When it comes to organizing the Queen’s birthday party, Eindhoven is king of all Queen’s Days in the Netherlands, with more than 220,000 visitors. There will be a wide range of events at various places in Eindhoven:

On Queen’s Night (Monday), there will be various parties like “Infusion” at the Beursgebouw, “Queenscore” and “Squadron generals Tramalant” at the Dynamo, “Superstijl” at the Effenaar or “Electric Orange” at the ‘Stadhuisplein’ (town house place).

On Queen’s Day (Tuesday), there will be the Royal Block Party at the Dynamo with hip hop beats and funk & soul, the Effenaar will host a Queen’s Day Festival with several bands playing inside and a Kids Area with workshops, bouncing castle and face painting sessions in the garden, at the Mathildelaan you can buy and sell things at the Orange Market, Stratumseind will offer a wide range of music styles and party DJ’s and at Strijp-S you can, among other things, enjoy solid rock music at the ‘Klok’ (clock) Rock Orange party.
