No TV screens during Queen’s day

If you would like to watch King Willem-Alexander’s coronation on TV during Queen’s day, you are better off at home. Eindhoven’s city council has decided not to put up any large TV screens in the town’s centre. Eindhoven has to look festive that day and large TV screens do not fit into that picture, according to city council.

NS, the Dutch railways are expecting around 17.000 passengers to pass the train station every hour. Measures have been taken accordingly to make sure the passenger flow runs smoothly. In total, Eindhoven is expecting about 120.000 visitors, just as many as last year. To improve safety, tin cans and glass will be prohibited in the town’s centre, nor is it allowed to drink alcohol on the trains.
