Local government commits to Turkish party centre location

Business park ‘De Tempel’, in Woensel, will most likely host a second party centre for Turkish weddings. Locals are fiercely against this project, but the Eindhoven executive board maintains its position.

There is already one centre for Turkish weddings on business park ‘De Tempel’ and offers room to about 700 party-goers. There is a strong demand for such party centres in the area. Another party centre would put more pressure on their quality of life, neighbours say.An agreement has been made with the owner in order to avoid any nuisances in the neighbourhood, according to alderman Torunoglu. He does not expect any parking problems either and thinks that ‘De Tempel’ is the only suitable location in town.
