500 protesters against violence attend demonstration in Eindhoven

EINDHOVEN – Approximately 500 people attended the musical demonstrationn against violence in the center of Eindhoven last Saturday according to the event organizers.

The reason for the event was the infamous assault on a 22 year old man. Mayor Rob van Gijzel spoke at the event. He said that the tv program Bureau Brabant showed another film of senseless violence, this time on the Stadhuisplein. “We do not want to ignore this and will continue to air these films. Those involved have to answer to the courts. “The mayor of Eindhoven also said that he hoped that the parents of the suspects living in Belgium who are thought to be involved in the assault will encourage their children to go to the police station.
