EINDHOVEN – The Netherlands Association for Oncology considers a merge between the Integraal Kankercentrum Zuid (IKZ) and the Integraal Kankercentrum Nederland (IKNL) irresponsible.
The Dutch cancer specialists believe that the IKNL does not function properly and that a merger with the good functioning IKZ will only cause damage.According to the specialists, the IKNL is lacking a great amount of substantive and scientific knowledge, contrary to the Eindhoven institute. Moreover, the national organisation would be characterized by a worrisome bureaucratic culture. If necessary, IKZ employees are prepared to go to court to stop the merge.Source: Omroep Brabant
