EINDHOVEN – Dear TU/e car thief: Could you please return the MacBook Pro you stole? It contains scientific data that is really important to PhD student Maartje Basting and the smart city of Eindhoven.
According to Cursor (the university news letter) Bastings had just defended her thesis when she put her laptop in her car. Shortly afterwards, a thief stole the laptop, the hard drive with backup information as well as her purse, mobile phone, a beamer and a second laptop belonging to the TU/e. This is a particularly bad turn of events, as Bastings is set to start work at Harvard University and needs to take the data with her. Source: Eindhoven Dichtbij
