Two Romanians suspected of 127 robberies

VEGHEL – Two Romanian career criminals have been involved in 127 break-ins. They took place in and around Den Bosch and Eindhoven. The two men, aged 38 and 22 were arrested on the 24th of January in Pijnacker, near The Hague. They remain incarcerated until the case comes to court.

The 27 year old Romanian wife of the 38 year old thief was extradited from Romania on the 20th of January after being arrested for fencing (handling stolen goods) there.  An investigation was started because of a sharp increase in the number of residential break ins (from 199 to 250) in the district of Maas and Leijgraaf (around Veghel) at the start of 2011. The men are now suspected of being involved in 127 robberies in the provinces of Brabant, South Holland and Gelderland The men were apprehended when stolen mobile phones were traced. The investigation was intensified in January and the pair was caught in the act in Pijnacker. They have been handed over to the police in Brabant-Noord. Source: Eindhoven Dichtbij
