New electric race car TU/e

EINDHOVEN – The student team URE from the Technical University Eindhoven (TU/e) presented on Thursday the new hundred percent electric formula race car URE07. University Racing Eindhoven (URE) takes part with this brand new race car in the Formula Student competition on European circuits.

The URE07 has been developed by TU/e students and was presented at the AutomotiveCampusNL in Helmond. The team consists of fifty students from different faculties of the TU/e. Every year again the team designs, builds, promotes, tests and races a new car to participate in the Formula Student competition. Formula Student is the largest international design competition in which all aspects of automotive engineering come together.The TU/e team takes part with the new URE07 in the electric class within Formula Student in Germany / Hockenheimring and Austria / Wachauring. Also at Silverstone, the TU/e will be present with the URE07, there the several classes compete against each other. Purpose of the students is to achieve a top position with the URE07 in one or more races in the Formula Student competition.
