The second edition of Eindhoven’s feel-good holiday film ‘Een Kei Fijne Film’ (A really good film) premiered on Friday evening. The cast and crew watched the first screening of the short film about Eindhoven at LAB-1. It includes all the exceptional performances and remarkable events which took place this past year in Eindhoven city plus a good dose of local humour.

With the city as a backdrop, some local residents of Eindhoven play important roles.  Actor Frank Lammers and VVD (People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy) politician Klaas Dijkhoff grace the screen with performances. In addition and as in last years film, mayor John Jorritsma makes an appearance. As do the actors Steye van Dam and Huub Smit show.

This year’s film is about Joep Vermolen. When circumstances strand him at Eindhoven station on Christmas Eve, he is forced to spend the night in ‘Hotel Eindhoven’. Luckily the hotel can take him in for the night, but from there strange and funny stories about the city unfold before him.

The film can now be viewed online by the general public.
