A hundred and forty additional homes are to be added in the Strijp area.

These new houses are being built between Landgoed de Wielewaal and Strijp R, in Drents Dorp. It is a collaboration between the Woonbedrijf, the Municipality of Eindhoven, and SDK Vastgoed.

A third of the new homes to be built will be used for council housing, and one-third will be available for medium-rent and owner-occupied homes. The remaining third will consist of more expensive owner-occupied properties. These are adjacent to the De Wielewaal Estate. The construction of the new homes is set to start next year.

The new homes are meant to help ease in the Eindhoven housing market. Municipalities and housing corporations recently signed agreements about this.
