For the first time, there are no new Eindhoven schools to be given the ‘excellent’ label. This was made known in a list issued by the Ministry of Education.

The label is awarded each year to dozens of primary and secondary schools. They are permitted to use the title in their external communications.
They receive the title not only because of the high standard of education they offer, but also because they excel in one or more areas.

Each year, for the past four years, at least one Eindhoven school was awarded the label. They included the Van Maerlant Lyceum and the Stedelijk College. This is the first year that no new school has been added to the list.

There are now 184 schools in all of the Netherlands, which have the ‘excellent’ title.
