Despite the warning by the Skating Association, not to trust the natural ice, in Eindhoven some die-hards put on their skates. For instance, on the Karpendonkse Plas laps were being skated.

Earlier on Sunday the KNSB (Dutch Skating Association) advised people not to go on the ice: in many places it is too thin. Even though Eindhoven probably has the thickest layer of ice of the country: here it froze the hardest with -12.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday night. Thus far there are no reports of people going through the ice in Eindhoven.
