The suspicious parcel found at Eindhoven Airport on Monday morning has been investigated and cleared.

A box was found at the entrance of Eindhoven Airport. It turned out to be a false alarm. The Explosieve Opruimingsdienst (Explosive Clearance Service) concluded that it was not an explosive, but a grinder. This is a tool used to grind hash and weed.

Earlier, an airport spokesman confirmed that a package had been found. “It has been handed over to the Koninklijke Marechaussee (Dutch Military Police). They are investigating the package. Air traffic and other activities continue at the airport”.

A section near the Airport’s entrance had been cordoned off for investigation. That investigation has now been completed.
