At least fifty demonstrators gathered in the Eindhoven city center on Friday afternoon to take action against climate change.

The group started on 18 Septemberplein, and then walked to Stadhuisplein. It is part of a broader climate protest: people took to the streets in many cities around the world. The Students for Climate movement is involved in the campaigns in many cities. Also in Eindhoven.

TU/e student Yavor Razboinikov is one of the initiators in Eindhoven. “We have now really come to a point where we need to intervene. This world is really falling apart.”

Campaigners on Stadhuisplein have brought banners. You can read texts like ‘Climate Crisis’ and ‘Sinterklaas, may I have a new earth’ and ‘You can find everything on Marktplaats, but no two earths’. A demonstrator points to the need for a joint international approach. “The climate is cross-border. We must start with our own society. And then together. The most important thing is that we do not talk, we act.”
