Special investigating officers (B.O.A.s) in Eindhoven will soon test our bodycams.

The Municipal Executive will work out the plans for a test run. This is in response to an appeal made by the CDA to the City Council. The coalition party believes residents will behave better if these officers are equipped with small portable cameras. Law enforcers are also often confronted with physical violence. The CDA believes the cameras would enable them to do their work more safely.

A pilot project for the city will be proposed in the first quarter of next year. This proposal will also focus on the results obtained in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. There, bodycams have already been tested. A few years ago, the VVD proposed to a test run, but nothing came of this.
