New trees are to be planted on Demer and Rechtestraat in the centre of Eindhoven.

A total of 13 more trees will be planted in containers to make the city centre greener. The City Council hopes to give people an idea of what the centre will look like in the future, once the red pavement stones have been replaced. “It contributes to a climate-proof and healthy environment”, Sustainability Councillor, Rik Thijs, says.

Business owners in the city centre support the plans. They also contributed to the placement of the trees. The centre and Stratumseind will be renovated in the coming years.
