On Tuesday 22 October, Mayor John Jorritsma received representatives from ten foreign embassies in Eindhoven. He did so as the Chairman of Brainport Eindhoven. This was for a DDW (Dutch Design Week) Economic Relations Event.

The event’s purpose was to show foreign representatives what is happening in the technology field in Brainport Eindhoven. Dutch and international companies from Brainport Eindhoven attended the event. The event aims to create new networks and connections. These could lead to innovative ideas, cooperation, and trade.

According to Jorritsma, it is important to invite these people to Dutch Design Week. They can then see for themselves what Brainport Eindhoven has to offer. “During DDW, the ambassadors can experience for themselves how important the role of design is in the field of high tech, health and mobility.”

The guests not only visited the Design Academy’s Graduation Show in the old Campina factory. They also went to the NS experience at Strijp-T, the Embassy of Mobility at Strijp-S, and the Embassy of Health in the Klokgebouw.
