Yesterday (Tuesday), the Brits Ereveld (British Field of Honour) in Mierlo was the scene of the commemoration of the 75 years of liberation since the Second World War.

There was a column of military vehicles at the war cemetery. Deputy Mayor Marc Jeucken gave a speech, and there was music and singing by Audrey Smits and primary school students. Among other items, the British national anthem was performed. Wreaths were laid on the graves.

Afterwards, people had the opportunity to take a closer look at the Liberation Task Force’s military vehicles.
