A2 to Eindhoven closed yesterday due to stranded horse transport

The A2 motorway near Eindhoven, in the direction of Maastricht, was temporarily closed yesterday because a horse transport broke down.

This was informed by the Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management, Rijkswaterstaat, Traffic Information on Twitter.

The horses had to be transferred to another vehicle. Once that operation was successful, Rijkswaterstaat started salvaging the broken transport vehicle. Until then, the main road to Maastricht was closed.
