VDL Group wins Dutch Innovation Award

Eindhoven-based VDL Group has won the Dutch Innovation Award 2019, presented on television programme De Wereld van Morgen (Tomorrow’s World).

After observing new, progressive technologies and solutions from VDL, as well as a focus on employees, entrepeneurship, and cooperation, jury chairman and professor of strategy and innovation Henk Volberder said, “VDL is at the forefront when it comes to applying new technologies, and innovation is in their DNA.”

The Dutch Innovation Award is part of the Dutch Innovation Monitor, an annual large-scale research project carried out by the Amsterdam Centre for Business Administration that looks at innovation.

VDL Group CEO Jennifer van der Leegte received the award on behalf of the company, saying “this is great recognition for our almost 17,000 employees who work hard every day at our 104 companies here and abroad to make our world smarter, faster, better, and greener.”

VDL Group is active in 20 countries with approximately 17,000 employees. The group comprises 104 operating companies, each with its own specialism, that work together intensively.
