There is a new ‘bread fund’ for entrepreneurs in Eindhoven.

This is a collective for and by entrepreneurs, to help each other with financial uncertainties. On Thursday 20 June there will be an information evening about the initiative at Seats2meet on Strijp-S.

What is it?

In the Broodfonds (bread fund) everyone (maximum 50 participants) who participates, puts money into an individual account. As soon as one of them becomes incapacitated for work, he / she will receive temporary financial support from the others.

This social safety net has been around for thirteen years. Nationally, 500 groups are participating, with more than 23,000 entrepreneurs.

Small-scale and well-arranged
“This solidarity in a new jacket is well received by entrepreneurs,” says initiator André Jonkers. “Because it is small-scale and well-arranged, the people in a Bread Fund know exactly what is happening with their money.”
